Puerto Plata Excursion: 7 Waterfalls of Damajagua & Quick Zip
Description
This is the most iconic excursion Puerto Plata has to offer. The waterfalls of Damajagua are our favorite excursion in the area and this tour has been paired with a fun zipline park and authentic lunch to round out the experience.
You deserve the best of the DR and you deserve to not stress out about getting back to your ship on time. Thus, this tour was created specifically for cruisers. Get the thrills of a Puerto Plata zipline and the "27 Waterfalls" of Damajagua but with a shorter duration. What's the difference between this "Quick" zipline and the regular Waterfall and Zipline tour you ask? This tour basically cuts down the time on the ziplines so you can enjoy 3 incredible ziplines rather than the full zipline park which has 8 ziplines. This tour is 4-5 hours round trip rather than 6 hours.
You'll get to slide, jump, and splash your way down the Waterfalls of Damajagua. This is such a memorable experience you will complete the full circuit, it is NOT an abbreviated experience. Then, you'll get to experience a local farm where you eat an authentic Dominican lunch and soar through the jungle canopy on 3 ziplines, enjoying views and fresh tropical air. Head back to your ship with a new appreciation for the people and beauty of the Dominican Republic, amazing photos, and a famous Caribbean excursion notched in your belt.

Yes! Whether you are arriving by cruise to Taino Bay port or Amber Cove, we are able to meet and pick you up from either Puerto Plata cruise port.
Can I be certain I'll make it back to my ship on time?
Yes, this excursion is designed around your ship itinerary and shortened slightly to fit cruiser schedules. We are located just 10 minutes from Amber Cove and 25 minutes from Taino Bay.
What type of physical condition do I need to be in for the Waterfalls of Damajagua?
Climbing up and jumping down the waterfalls requires a certain level of physical fitness and mobility. It involves around a 25 minute walk each way to get fro the entrance to the falls. There is a ladder to climb down if you decide jumping into the pools is not right for you.
This tour is not well-suited for those with back or heart issues, women than are pregnant or those that do not feel confident climbing up trails or jumping from rocks into pools of water. In short, you need to be healthy and feel comfortable walking over a couple miles and up a ladder to be able to enjoy this tour.
What should I bring on this Damajagua waterfall tour?
Bring swimwear (shorts recommended for skin protection) and t-shirt that can get wet, solid water shoes or tennis shoes that can get wet (not flip flops), a towel and change of clothes. If ziplining, closed-toe shoes and shorts or pants are required. Lockers are available for rent, and rubber shoes can be rented for ~$2-3 USD as well.
How do I meet the tour guide from my cruise port?
After booking confirmation, cruise passengers will receive a separate email with important pickup details. The meeting point is outside the cruise port's MAIN GATE, roughly 8-12 minutes walking from the dock. The goal is to start 45-60 minutes after ship arrival. So please select the time of tour just after your cruise ship's arrival.
What are the ziplines like on this tour?
You'll get to enjoy 3 amazing ziplines, the longest is nearly 1/2 mile long from a platform ~80 feet. The full zipline course includes 8 ziplines, so this tour is great for those on a time schedule or who just want a bit less walking/ziplining.
